Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Project Management Professionals and coordinate and lead their daily activities to ensure that projects remain on track and deliver on time
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Successfully initiate, plan, execute and close all project deliverables as committed
  • Ensure project definition documents are prepared and maintained
  • Publish project plans and schedules as needed
  • Ensure the schedules of the various constituencies involved are coordinated, and the multiple sub-project plans are consolidated into one master project schedule for project tracking
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope Identification and resolution of issues
  • Advise corporate management on all perceived risks to the successful completion of the project
  • Coordinate project team meetings
  • Establish strong vendor/customer relationship. Communicate status to customers regularly.
  • Review product profitability (gross margin) and derive corrective actions when product is in production
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure compliance to product policies and guidelines, quality targets and the company’s General Quality Specifications

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering / Physics / Optics or similar is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Senior Project Management or Director roles managing complex Semiconductor ICs projects
  • Must have leadership experience across multiple locations
  • Must have proven experience working with Tier 1 OEMs in the Mobile or Consumer electronics domain
  • Experience in hardware/software design and optical sensors or systems is a strong plus
  • Technical understanding of System-on-Chip architectures including digital-, analogue- and software design is a strong plus
  • PMP certification is strong plus
  • Strong leadership, time management and analytical skills
  • Proactive, Self-motivated and deadline + results driven with a “Can do” attitude
  • The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent German and English written and verbal communication skills
